Details

This study looked at whether extra scans could help to diagnose breast cancer.

It was for women who:

  • were having breast screening as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme

  • had a high amount of dense breast tissue

This study was supported by Cancer Research UK. Women could join between 2019 and 2024. The team published the interim results in 2025.

Recruitment start: 1 April 2019

Recruitment end: 31 March 2024
