About the event

This free virtual event will take place on Thursday 25 September, hosted on Zoom. It promises to be an insightful event, enjoyed from the comfort of your home. On the day, you can log on from 12.20pm, giving you time to get settled before we officially begin at 12.30pm. We look forward to sharing this special afternoon with you.

What to expect during the event

You'll be able to watch this year’s exciting virtual event however you’d like, with no need to appear on screen or take part, just sit back and enjoy as we celebrate the progress we're making in beating cancer.

The event will be hosted by Sarah Newman, Legacy Relationship Manager, and Nikolaus Muldal, Science Engagement Manager.

  • You’ll hear how pioneering discoveries are transforming the way we detect, prevent and treat cancer — and how gifts in Wills are helping drive this life-saving work forward.
  • We’re also joined by Stuart Pepper from the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, who’ll take us behind the scenes of the Institute’s cutting-edge research and share how scientists are tackling some of the biggest challenges in cancer today.

Gifts in Wills fund over a third of our work to beat cancer. Your support will help us bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
