Around the World in 80 days

About this event:

We're looking for at least 100 people to join the challenge to walk around the world in 80 days! Between 1 August and 19 October 2021, participants will take steps towards beating cancer by walking/running the equivalent of 5km a day - an individual goal of 400km in 80 days. Those participants who raise at least £100 will be awarded a special bespoke medal! If you're taking part across the UK, we will post your medal to you. This event is organised by Relay for Life Dumfries & Galloway. The challenge is to collectively achieve 40,075km by 19 October 2021. We are seeking at least 100 participants to commit to the equivalent of 5km a day, however everyone is welcome to take part and set their own smaller or larger goals - every kilometre by every participant will count towards the challenge. Distances will be recorded in a group challenge app so we can celebrate when we reach our target! To sign up to the Around the World in 80 days challenge costs £10.
