We’re always striving to improve our online services and our new website is a huge improvement on our previous site.

You’ll find that managing your fundraising page is a lot simpler to do, particularly from a mobile phone or a tablet. And your family and friends will be able to make donations and leave messages more easily.

Our new fundraising platform is no longer called MyProjects and we do not have project pages with an overarching target but you’re still be able to raise money for the area of our work that you want to support.

As we have increased our website security, you will need to reset your password when you first log in. To do this, please go to menu in the top right hand corner of your screen, select log in, then forgotten your password.

If you are unable to find your fundraising page, please contact us on 0300 123 1863 or by emailing myprojects@cancer.org.uk.

Please let us know as soon as you can if you notice that any donations, messages, photos or details of your fundraising page are missing, on 0300 123 1863 or by emailing myprojects@cancer.org.uk.

We no longer have project pages with an overarching target but you’re still be able to raise money for the area of our work that you want to support.

If your fundraising page was linked to a project that was closed on the MyProjects website, then we’re unable to accept any more funds for that particular project. This might be because the project has received the funding it needed, or because that particular study has ended. If your previous project was closed, then any future donations will still go towards the type of cancer, or area of the UK that the closed project was focused on. If you have any questions or if you’d like to change the area of research, then please contact us on 0300 123 1863 or by emailing myprojects@cancer.org.uk.

As we’ll be closing the MyProjects website, your MyProjects account will no longer be active.

If you would still like to support our life-saving work and keep up-to-date with the areas of our research that you care most about, you can do so by visiting our website

Your new fundraising page

Donations
You will still be able to see all donations to your fundraising page, any messages that family and friends have left with their donation, as well as the total amount of money that you’ve raised.

Donations made over the phone or by cheque
If you’ve received donations to your fundraising page made over the phone or by cheque, then these donations will still be displayed on your page but due to a system limitation these donations will show at the top of your fundraising page. All other details will be unchanged.  If you receive any further donations to your fundraising page, these will appear at the top of the page as normal.

Chosen area of research
If your fundraising page was linked to a project that was closed on the MyProjects website, then we’re unable to accept any more funds for that particular project. This might be because the project has received the funding it needed, or because that particular study has ended. If your previous project was closed, then any future donations will still go towards the type of cancer, or area of the UK that the closed project was focused on. If you have any questions or if you’d like to change the area of research, then please contact us on 0300 123 1863 or by emailing myprojects@cancer.org.uk.

Fundraising total
There may be a change to the fundraising total on your fundraising page. Please be assured that none of the funds that you’ve raised are missing, we have made a change to how the total is displayed.  Previously, the fundraising total was a combination of the money that you’ve raised and Gift Aid. On our new fundraising pages, we have separated Gift Aid, so you’ll now see two totals – one for all the money that you’ve raised and another for Gift Aid.

Photos & video
You will be able to see any photos that you’ve added in the photo gallery, but for a short while, you will be unable to add or remove any pictures. We’re no longer able to support video.

You can now add a cover photo to your fundraising page. This photo is landscape in shape, larger than the previous main image and fits the width of your page. We did not want to stretch your picture to fit this new larger space, so we’ve moved any photos that you’ve added to the photo gallery. You can change the cover photo to another picture at any time.

Message board and blog
We’ll no longer have a message board or blog functionality, but we’ll continue to improve the tools that we offer, to help you to share your fundraising efforts and connect with other fundraisers in the future.

Searching for a fundraising page
For a short while, you’ll be unable to search for a fundraising page on our website. We’ll be adding this functionality soon. We recommend sharing the link to your fundraising page with family and friends by email or using our share tools on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, so that they can find your page quickly and easily.

Sharing your fundraising page
If you would like to share your fundraising page by email, then we would recommend copy and pasting the link to your page into an email using your own email account. We will no longer have the email tool or address book. You can also share your fundraising page easily using our share tools on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and WhatsApp.
