What is a charity stream?

A charity stream is when a person broadcasts a video in real-time on the internet to raise money for a cause. For example, someone will livestream themselves completing a challenge of 50 press-ups every day for a month. Everyone who watches the livestream will see the challenge and have the chance to donate money.

Charity streaming gives you the freedom to fundraise your way. Whatever your talent, hobby or challenge, you can help us raise vital funds for life-saving research. Many of our usual events are not available at the moment because of the pandemic, but you can do charity streaming in the comfort of your own home. And the magic of livestreaming is its fantastic reach. Because you're broadcasting publicly, your potential audience is wide. So the more people that watch your charity stream, the more money you'll be able to raise.
