Different challenges, same determination

Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People is the part of Cancer Research UK dedicated to supporting research into cancers affecting 0-24-year-olds.

Around 4,400 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Thanks to research, around 8 in 10 of those diagnosed today will survive for at least 10 years. But survival for some children’s cancers hasn’t improved much since the 1970s. And many of those who do survive experience long-term side effects from their treatment.

We’re tackling the challenges holding back progress to help more children and young people survive cancer with a good quality of life.
