Current research into womb cancer

Saving lives through research

Our work in womb cancer ranges from understanding the factors that increase womb cancer risk, to leading clinical trials testing new ways to treat women. Below are some examples of the important work our researchers are doing right now to beat womb cancer sooner.

Our current researchers

Investigating how womb cancer develops

In Oxford, Dr David Church is investigating the interaction between tumours and the immune system. When womb cancers are littered with genetic mutations, people tend to have an excellent prognosis, potentially because the immune system has such a strong reaction to all these faults. Further study will help doctors understand how best to diagnose and treat people with this cancer.
