Our research into lymphoma

Our research is saving lives

There are more than 30 types of lymphoma, grouped into Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In the 1970s almost half of people diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma survived their disease beyond 10 years, now it's 8 in 10. And for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, survival has tripled in the last 40 years in the UK. We’ve made good progress in many forms of the disease, but there’s still much more to do.

Current research

From studying the biology of lymphoma cells in the lab to leading clinical trials testing cutting-edge treatments, our researchers are working hard to ensure more people survive lymphoma.

Our strategy

Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK has doubled. In the 1970s just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for 10 years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive.

We want to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
