About this event

Walk Wadebridge was started in 2024 by the Wadebridge Committee for Cancer Research UK. It was their 70th Anniversary since formation of the committee and they wanted to do something different to mark this occasion. The event proved so popular they have decided to make it an annual date in the diary. It is a circular walk that will encompass the town of Wadebridge and the surrounding countryside. It will take participants alongside the river Camel, down the Camel Trail towards Padstow before heading off towards the countryside along roads and footpaths before returning to the Camel Trail and heading back to Wadebridge. You can walk 5 miles or 10 miles, on your own or as part of a group. While we encourage participants to fundraise via sponsorship, this is not essential. Entry is £20/person prior to the event using the link. Sponsorship forms can also be download or accessed online via https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/unite/wadebridge-local-committee

On the day

Walkers are to meet at 9.30am if they are walking 10 miles and 11.30am if they are walking 5 miles. All walkers will be provided with route details and check point locations that are situated along the route. Here cold drinks and cakes will be provided. Upon return to the rugby club there will be bacon baps, tea and coffee served.
