This is a supporter-organised event. This event is organised by a supporter in aid of Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK staff may have supported the event organiser but the charity is not responsible for the event itself. Our supporters are legally obliged to return any fundraising money that they have collected in aid of Cancer Research UK. About this event:

The Challenge is a 35-mile sponsored hill hike, starting from the town and visiting every summit around the Vale of Llangollen on the route of the Round. It can be completed in either one or two days and all participants receive a medal and certificate.

On the day:

You can take part in the one-day event or the two-day event. If you’re doing the one-day event, you’ll need to complete the 35 miles within 15.5 hours on the Saturday. If you’re doing two days, you’ll need to complete 17.5 miles in 11 hours on both days. • Once you’ve entered, you’ll receive a link to an Online Giving page where you can start raising money to power progress. • Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate and a medal. • There will be five checkpoints where you need to sign in. You’ll find free light refreshments there such as water, fruit, cake etc. • The route will be waymarked.

On the day:

You’ll also receive a free printed booklet of the route. Before the event, a digital copy will be emailed to you. Get involved: All entrants must be at least 15 years old, with people under 18 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Unfortunately, on veterinary recommendation, no dogs are allowed.
