About this opportunity
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is looking for patient experts to help its committee understand what matters most to people affected by cervical cancer. This insight helps NICE decide whether a treatment should be recommended for use in the NHS.
This opportunity relates to the medicine Tisotumab vedotin (also known as Tivdak), which is being evaluated for treating cervical cancer that has returned or spread.
As a patient expert, you will be asked to share your lived experience. This may include how the condition affects daily life, what treatment pathways have been like for you or your loved one, and what outcomes matter most. You will take part in a NICE committee meeting where members may ask you questions.
You don’t need to be familiar with the specific medicine being evaluated, but if you do have experience or knowledge of it, NICE would find that helpful.
If selected, NICE will give you clear guidance and a tailored induction to help you prepare and feel confident.
Why your involvement matters
Hearing directly from people affected by cervical cancer helps the committee understand the real‑life impact of the condition and the value of new treatments. Your insight helps shape decisions that affect NHS care for thousands of people.
How to get involved
If you are interested, or would like to ask any questions, please email: Charlotte Stephens – TACommA@nice.org.uk
NICE will ask you to complete a nomination form about your experience, and they will support you with advice on how to write this. The committee chair will review all nomination forms and select the most appropriate patient expert for the topic.
