Help us make cancer information accessible for everyone

At Cancer Research UK, we want our information to be clear, helpful, and available to everyone - no matter what language they speak. This information helps people understand cancer, reduce their risk, and support loved ones during and after treatment.

About the project

We’re exploring new ways to translate cancer information into different languages, starting with Polish, Urdu and Punjabi. To do this, we need to hear from people who have been affected by cancer who are native speakers of one of these languages, and who also speak fluent English. This includes anyone who has had cancer themselves or supported a loved one through it.

What’s involved

  • A 45-minute video interview with a member of our User Experience team, held online via Microsoft Teams.
  • The interview will take place between 27 November and 5 December, and you’ll be able to choose a time that works for you.
  • During the session, you’ll read a short piece of translated cancer information and share your thoughts on how clear and helpful it feels in your language.
  • After the interview, we’ll ask you to complete a short online survey to capture your reflections.

You won’t be asked personal questions about your cancer experience, and you don’t need any special IT skills—just access to the internet and a device for the video call.

Why take part?

Your feedback will help us make sure translated cancer information truly meets the needs of your community. By sharing your perspective, you’ll play a vital role in shaping resources that could help thousands of people.
