What will I be doing?
- Work with this established fundraising group help at organised collections.
- Option to plan a number other events as a fundraising team.
- Collections usually take place in supermarkets and train station and you will be required to wear a CRUK t-shirt, whilst holding a collection bucket.
What skills do I need?
You will be enthusiastic and motivated, with a local knowledge of your community and a passion for the work of Cancer Research UK. You will generate new ideas, build and maintain effective relationships and help to deliver successful fundraising events. Previous experience in volunteer collections is desirable but not essential.
What support will we give you?
- An induction and ongoing support and guidance from your Local Fundraising Manager as well as your fellow group member.
- Advice and guidance on how to access information and resources.
- We will reimburse agreed out of pocket expenses.

Where will I be based?
You will generally be based at local collection points in the Ramsgate/Sandwich/Dover area which are usually located in supermarkets and train station.
Time Commitment
This role is on an on-going basis but you will be required to help out at collection no more than monthly at the most but every 2-3 months is more realistic. During a collection you will need a spare 3-4 hours.
