Cancellation policy

Attendees wishing to cancel their place can receive a full refund up to 10 working days before the event start date. All cancellations must be made in writing to researchevents@cancer.org.uk before 31 October 2023. Any cancellations received after this date, will not be refunded. Attendees can send a replacement free of charge.

Cancer Research UK is not liable for any travel or accommodation costs relating to attendee bookings. 

COVID-19 guidance

The health and safety of our attendees and those you work with remains our highest priority. We will continue to closely monitor developments relating to COVID-19 and review guidance from government bodies. Further information and advice will be emailed to registered attendees ahead of the event.

 

We are accepting abstracts for poster presentations and proffered talk

We're accepting applications from all attendees to present a poster, and if you're an early career researcher, you're welcome to submit an abstract for a proffered talk as part of the conference programme.

  • Deadline for abstracts is Wednesday 6 September 2023
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance from 25 September 2023
  • The presenting author of the abstract must register and pay the registration fee.

Poster viewing will take place throughout the conference.

Anyone is welcome to submit an abstract on any of the following topics:

  • Discovery research
  • Translational research
  • Personalised medicines
  • Immunotherapy
  • Data science
  • Haematology
  • Drug development
  • Biologically-driven clinical trials
  • Patient and public involvement
  • Equality, diversity and inclusive
  • Multi-disciplinary collaboration
  • Teenage and young adult cancer

Word limit: Please stick to a limit of 500 words. 

What happens next: Once you have submitted your abstract it will be reviewed, and you will be contacted directly.
