A study to find out more about mesothelioma (Meso-ORIGINS)

This study is to learn more about mesothelioma and how it develops after exposure to .

It is open to people who have:

• been exposed to asbestos

• had a sample of tissue (biopsy) of the lining of the lung (pleura) in the last year that showed signs of pleural inflammation or you are due to have a biopsy taken

• fluid on the lung (pleural effusion)

• had a scan or x-ray showing an abnormal growth on the lining of the lung

• a non cancerous (benign) abnormality on the lining of their lung
