The Cancer Research UK Pledge Pathway to Progress garden has timber Progress-Stakes dotted amongst the plants marking key achievements from our history of life-saving research and campaigning.
It's interlocking curved design demonstrates the link between our legacy supporters and researchers.
Together with our supporters we’ve played a role in developing 8 of the world’s top 10 cancer drugs; we’ve helped prove the link between tobacco and cancer, preventing millions of deaths worldwide; helped prove the value of cervical screening which now prevents 1000s of deaths every year; over the last 40 years our work has helped double breast cancer survival; and we were a key player in the development of radiotherapy, which now benefits more than 130,000 patients every year in the UK.
