More about this trial
There are several known risk factors for developing lung cancer. The most significant one is smoking. However a number of people who have never smoked also develop lung cancer.
In this study, researchers want to look at the medical notes of people who have never smoked and develop lung cancer. They want to find information about their risks, symptoms and outcomes.
The aim of the study is to identify the risks, symptoms and outcomes of lung cancer for people who have never smoked.
Please note taking part will not change your care or treatment. You might not get any benefit from taking part but the information may help people in the future.

- personal information such as your age and cultural background (ethnicity)
- any other medical problems you might have
- information about your cancer and treatment
The team will look at your medical notes for 5 years.
In future they may want to collect some other information. This could be about the amount of pollution where you live and work. They will always ask your permission to do so before they collect it.
All information the team collect is kept in a safe and secure place. The team remove personal information, such as your name and date of birth.
