The Campaigns Ambassador Charter

We’re grateful that, as a Campaigns Ambassador, you’re giving your time, energy and skills to support our life‑saving research. To help you feel confident in your role, we’ve created a charter that outlines what you can expect from Cancer Research UK — and what we ask of you as a campaigning volunteer.

Why campaigning matters

We’ve made significant progress — with cancer survival in the UK doubling over the last 50 years and the Tobacco and Vapes Act becoming law — but there’s still more to do:

Cancer waiting times

Cancer waiting times are among the worst on record, with some targets missed for over a decade.

Early diagnosis

 Cancer outcomes

The UK continues to lag behind comparable countries when it comes to cancer survival.

That’s why we need your help. Take action and help beat cancer.
