We’re grateful that, as a Campaigns Ambassador, you’re giving your time, energy and skills to support our life‑saving research. To help you feel confident in your role, we’ve created a charter that outlines what you can expect from Cancer Research UK — and what we ask of you as a campaigning volunteer.
Read the charterWe’ve made significant progress — with cancer survival in the UK doubling over the last 50 years and the Tobacco and Vapes Act becoming law — but there’s still more to do:
Cancer waiting times are among the worst on record, with some targets missed for over a decade.
Almost half of cancers are diagnosed at a late stage (stages 3 and 4), with little progress over the last 10 years.
The UK continues to lag behind comparable countries when it comes to cancer survival.
Stay up to date with our latest campaigns and take meaningful actions that help drive change. Every step you take helps push for progress.
Cancer research breakthroughs are changing prevention, diagnosis and treatment. We’re calling on governments across the UK to remove the barriers holding back research.
Cancer is the leading cause of death in Scotland and Wales, affecting families everywhere. We're calling on all political parties to act.
