The Public Affairs and Campaigns team bring together our supporters, staff and scientists to inform and influence policy. We work across the UK, in Westminster and in the devolved nations, to develop strategies and messages to empower and enable you to campaign.
We’re calling for the UK Government to implement our five pledges for longer, better lives, which could help to prevent 20,000 cancer deaths every year by 2040.
Following decades of government action, fewer people in the UK are smoking than ever before, but smoking is still the biggest cause of cancer and death in the UK. That’s why we’re campaigning to help end cancers caused by smoking across the UK.
Campaigning is varied, exciting and rewarding. Our community of volunteer campaigners come from different backgrounds and generations, from 18 to 90 years of age. You’ll develop important skills like communication, influencing and relationship building.
Our friendly Campaigns team is there to support you all the way – offering guidance and helping you build your confidence.
As well as your Campaigns Ambassador Hub, we’ll send you regular emails and resources to support your campaigning, as well as a friendly Facebook group to chat with others in the community.
You can learn from each other too – find out how you can get involved in our monthly Coffee Roulette.
