Lung Cancer Conference 2022

Cancer Research UK Lung Cancer Conference 2022

We are pleased to announce that the Lung Cancer conference with CRUK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence is returning for an in-person event in November 2022.

We are delighted to be welcoming you to Manchester for three days of stimulating sessions designed to spark new opportunities for collaborative research. The conference will unite the brightest minds in cancer research to discuss and debate some of the greatest issues in the field.

Learning objectives

After decades of neglect, lung cancer research is finally coming out of the shadows. For a disease that researchers and clinicians once considered impenetrable, research is redefining our understanding of the disease, and is setting new standards of care. But we still face significant challenges. By breaking down barriers between disciplines and by combining expertise we hope to open up new avenues for collaborative research in cancer cell biology, cutting edge drug discovery and novel approaches to the detection, monitoring and treatment of lung cancer.

Audience

This is a must-attend meeting for all scientific disciplines relevant to lung cancer, with thought-provoking sessions including:

  • Screening, early detection and minimal residual disease
  • Lung cancer in never smokers
  • Metabolism and immunology in small cell lung cancer
  • Application of imaging and radiotherapy
  • Informatics and technology approaches to diagnosis and treatment
  • Immune regulation and exploitation

COVID-19 guidance

The health and safety of our attendees and those you work with remains our highest priority. We will continue to closely monitor developments relating to COVID-19 and review guidance from government bodies. Further information and advice will be emailed to registered attendees ahead of the event.

Research opportunities in lung cancer

Lung Cancer

Survival for people with lung cancer remains low which is why we've made it a strategic priority. We have a broad range of funding opportunities for researchers wanting to focus on the disease.
