We want to place people affected by cancer — patients, families, carers and communities — at the heart of every conversation.
From preventing cancer to improving early detection, delivering timely, kinder and better treatment, supporting people to live well with and beyond cancer, enhancing palliative care and accelerating vital research, the conference will explore how Scotland’s cancer system can be strengthened when it is developed in partnership with those who use it, not just by those who deliver it.
By embedding lived experience throughout the day’s sessions and placing patient and public insight on equal footing with professional expertise, the conference aims to reimagine a cancer system that is even more compassionate, collaborative and truly person‑centred.

We’re seeking expressions of interest from organisations that would like to host a session. The breakout sessions will focus on the core stages of the cancer pathway.

The Scottish Cancer Conference, originally the Scotland Against Cancer Conference, has been running for over 20 years.
It’s a unique gathering of organisations involved with cancer including people affected by cancer, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, academics, researchers and charities. It presents an unrivalled opportunity to share, learn, network and understand the latest developments in our combined efforts to beat cancer.
The Scottish Cancer Conference is delivered by Cancer Research UK on behalf of the Scottish Parliament’s Cross-Party Group on Cancer.

This year’s conference will be taking place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

Edinburgh's primary bus terminal is at St Andrews Square, offering connections across the UK. For routes, visit: National Express or City Link. For local services, check Lothian Buses.
Edinburgh boasts two railway stations, Check Scot Rail or Trainline for more information:
Waverley Station: 1.3 miles from EICC, with direct routes nationwide.
Haymarket Station: Just 0.4 miles from EICC, serving commuter and UK routes. Check with your provider for stops.

Edinburgh Trams operate between Airport and York Place. Closest stop to EICC is at Haymarket Station. Visit Edinburgh Trams website for details.
Walk from Haymarket Station: Exit Haymarket Station, head east towards pedestrian crossing, walk straight up Morrison Street to find EICC on the left.
From Edinburgh Airport by Bus: Take Airlink 100 for a frequent service to the city centre. Disembark at Haymarket Station and follow signs to EICC (5-minute walk). Visit Lothian Buses for more info.
From Edinburgh Airport by Taxi There is an excellent taxi service from the airport to the city. You'll find official airport taxis at the taxi rank outside the terminal building (follow the signs within the airport). It costs approximately £15 to get a taxi from the airport to the city centre and the journey takes 20 minutes depending on the time of day.
Travelling to Edinburgh by Car The EICC is right in the centre of Edinburgh. The main entrance is 150 Morrison Street. For directions from your home or office visit www.multimap.com and input EH3 8EE for the destination postcode.
Parking near the EICC There are many car parks in close walking distance to the EICC. Please access the following links for further details:

Cycling There are bike racks which can accommodate ten bikes, at the main entrance on Morrison Street, and spaces for a further twenty bikes at the racks behind the Atria One office building next to the EICC. For nearby routes, take a look at Edinburgh's cycle paths, many of which run close to the EICC.
