Our research is saving lives

Research has transformed survival for children and young people with cancer over the past 40 years. But sadly, we’re still losing too many young lives to cancer, and in many cases, survivors experience serious long-term side effects as a result of their treatment.

Cancer in children and young people is different to cancer in adults, from the types of cancer to the impacts of treatment. We’re working to overcome the challenges holding back progress to help more children and young people survive cancer with a good quality of life.

Our statement of intent outlines how we intend to support researchers to drive progress in children’s and young people’s cancer research.
