Recycle your used batteries for Cancer Research UK

Recycle your batteries
Recycle your old batteries in-store and supercharge our research.
Why recycle your batteries?
An estimated 20,000 tonnes of old household batteries end up in landfill every year.
Batteries contain toxic chemicals and metals, including lead, mercury, zinc and lithium, that can pollute the environment. Many of these elements can be safely extracted and reused in new batteries, lighting, and more.
Don't bin your used batteries - drop them off at your local Cancer Research UK shop next time you visit us.
Our partnership with Ecosurety
We’ve partnered with Ecosurety to safely recycle batteries. Ecosurety will donate £100 for every tonne of batteries donated to support our life-saving work.
