Business Beats Cancer North East brings together business leaders to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK’s research in North East England.

What we're funding in North East England

The dedicated team at Cancer Research UK’s Newcastle Centre are experts in a wide range of disciplines including:

  • clinical trials

  • drug discovery

  • radiotherapy

Our researchers are focussing on brain, blood, liver, bowel, and children’s cancers.

Turning discoveries into drugs

Newcastle University is also an academic partner of Newcastle Horizons, working together to translate discoveries from basic and clinical research into new breakthrough drugs. Our Senior Research Nurse in Newcastle facilitates the delivery of high-quality clinical trials and studies, getting new treatments into the clinic sooner.
