Cancer Research UK is looking for passionate, organised and community-minded people to support the Leamington & Warwick Local Committee with the ‘Turn Warwick Pink!’ 2026 campaign.
This exciting initiative brings local people and businesses together to raise awareness and funds for life-saving cancer research — and you could play a key role in making it happen. Our first ‘Turn the Town Pink!’ week in October 2025 involved 30 businesses in Warwick and over 75 in Leamington, raising more than £15,000. In 2026, we’re aiming even higher, with a £20,000 fundraising target.
Every step towards beating cancer depends on every pound, every hour and every person.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and supporters, Cancer Research UK currently funds over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK.
If you’d like to get involved in something rewarding, meet new people, and have fun while making a real difference, the ‘Turn the Town Pink!’ 2026 campaign could be perfect for you.
You’ll help plan and deliver the ‘Turn the Town Pink!’ campaign (2–11 October 2026). This may include:
Supporting the planning and organisation of campaign activities.
Encouraging local businesses, retailers, hospitality venues and community groups to get involved.
Organising fundraising activities and pink-themed events.
Promoting the campaign through local media and social channels.
Inspiring others in the community to take part and support the cause.
We have a variety of roles available, including:

You can also support the campaign ad-hoc, helping for just a few hours each month.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for supporting Cancer Research UK’s mission.
A full induction and ongoing support from your Relationship Manager and fellow volunteers.
Advice and guidance on planning and promoting fundraising events.
The opportunity to visit one of our research laboratories and see how your efforts help save lives.
Meet like-minded people who share your passion for making a difference.
Build strong local connections in your community.
Know you’re helping bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Get involved in a wide range of exciting fundraising activities and events.
Develop new skills and build on existing ones.
At Cancer Research UK, we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves and reach their full potential.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and cultures and will make reasonable adjustments to support applications from people with a disability or health condition.
This is a home-based role in, Warwick or the surrounding areas, with some time spent in the community attending committee meetings, meeting local businesses and supporting fundraising events.
This is a flexible volunteering opportunity. The time you commit can be discussed with your Local Relationship Manager, and we’ll help you find the best way to contribute.
Whether you take on a specific role or simply help when you can, every volunteer plays an important part in helping us beat cancer sooner.
