Sometimes we use trusted public sources, like the Post Office’s change of address database or the electoral roll, to check if you’ve moved house. If we think you’ve changed address, we update our records so we can stay in touch. We only use sources where we’re confident you’ve been told how your information might be shared and used. We do this so we can keep sending you marketing messages if you’ve asked to receive them, and to let you know about important updates, like changes to our terms or help with donation issues. It also helps us avoid having duplicate records or old contact details, so we don’t accidentally get in touch when you’ve asked us not to. You’re in control You can opt out of this activity at any time. To find out more, call us on 0300 123 3379 or email preferences@cancer.org.uk. And if your contact details change, we’d really appreciate it if you let us know.
