The 12th Hillbilly 10k Cross Country Run, sponsored by the Dalmellington Parish Community Trust and Dr Fraser Tait, is set to take place at the beautiful Craigengillan Estate in Dalmellington this February. The estate, now owned by the Traylen family, provides a picturesque backdrop for this exciting event.
Tickets are now sold out, but a waiting list is available for anyone who would still like to register their interest and be contacted if spaces become available.
Our race this year is on Sunday 22nd February 2026. Registration on the day will commence at 9:00am within the Dalmellington Community Centre and will close at 10.30am, followed by a race briefing in the hall.
This is a cross country 10km race event, beginning with a 2km stretch on a single lane tarmac road, followed by scenic farm tracks and woodland paths through the beautiful Craigengillan Estate in Dalmellington. The views this run has to offer are fantastic! Feel free to bring your family to cheer you along, then enjoy a lovely walk in the estate afterwards. It will be February so please remember to wear the correct clothing and trail shoes preferably.
We’re excited to include a Cani-Fit wave (running with your dog) as part of the event - this will be the first wave of the day. All dogs must be kept on a lead or harness at all times. A prize will be awarded to the first-place finisher in this category.
