Relay For Life Peterhead

4th/5th July 2026

Lord Catto Park Peterhead

What is Relay For Life?

Teams ranging from 4 to 20 participants (more if you want) do fundraise for Cancer Research UK.

They do this in the lead up to Relay and at Relay.

They can do a full Relay - 24 hours or, part Relay - for as long as they want to.

They take it in turns walking round the track - for 24 hours or for as long as they want.

At Relay there will be 3 ceremonies:

The opening ceremony and the Survivor's Lap of Honour

The Relay begins with the opening ceremony which includes the inspiring survivor's speech. The guests of honour - our survivors, walk the first lap, cheered and supported by the community and teams. They then go into the marquee for a lovely afternoon tea.

Candle of Hope Ceremony

At 11pm everyone gathers for the very emotional Candle of Hope ceremony and pay tribute to those whose lives have been affected by cancer. Candle bags are decorated, filled with sand and a lit candle and placed around the track.

The Closing Ceremony

At the end of Relay everyone joins together for a final lap to celebrate their fundraising achievements and to see what the final total is.

Entertainment - Outstanding fun!

Lots of games, challenges, dancing, singing and fun.

Games include higher or lower, slip and slide, bonkers bingo, large sack race and Relay's got talent.

Your invite - come and join us in this very special and rewarding event!
