Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy uses anti cancer (cytotoxic) drugs to destroy cancer cells. You might have it as part of your treatment for early or advanced oesophageal (foodpipe) cancer.

About chemoradiotherapy

Chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy is called chemoradiotherapy. You might have it on its own as your main treatment, or before surgery.
