You might have a swollen tummy (ascites) if you have advanced cancer. There are treatments that you can have that might help to reduce the build-up of fluid.

Advanced cancer can sometimes cause swelling of the tummy. This is due to a build up of fluid and is called ascites.

Treatment for ascites (swollen tummy)

Your doctor might put a small tube into your tummy to drain the fluid from your swollen tummy.
