Talking About Cancer: online course
Our next course is open from Monday 27 February 2017.
We want to help as many people as possible to feel confident talking about cancer and health no matter where they are, so we’ve developed a free online course called Talking About Cancer.
Join thousands of people worldwide and learn practical skills for having conversations that can help save lives.
Want to have more effective conversations about cancer and prevention? Our free interactive course will give you the confidence and ‘know-how’ to separate cancer myths from facts and encourage healthy lifestyle changes.
Talking About Cancer has been developed by our Talk Cancer trainers Gwen Kaplan and Gill Kilgour, drawing on their wealth of experience of talking to patients, families and healthcare professionals.
It’s a free online course that you can do at your own pace. It takes around three hours to complete, and there’s an interactive discussion board so you can chat to other learners as you go.
Talking About Cancer is hosted by the UK’s leading online learning platform, FutureLearn. The site is mobile-friendly so you can do the course on any device.
You’ll receive all the instructions you need when you sign up - the next run is open from Monday 27 February 2017 but you can enrol right now. The course will then be available to you for as long as you need.
