Abstract submission

Poster sessions offer a unique opportunity to showcase work and receive feedback from experts, so we encourage postdocs and PhD students to submit poster abstracts for consideration by the organising committee.

Proffered talks: We have slots for short (15 minute) talks during each session. When sending in your abstract, please indicate which session you are interested in.

Abstracts for posters should be no longer than 300 words and should include sections for Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Authors, acknowledgements and references are not included in this word count. You should also include your name, your host institution and whether you are a postdoc or a PhD student. Submit your abstract by email to brainconference@cancer.org.uk. Please note that we can only accept abstract submissions from fully registered delegates

Deadline: Wednesday 31 January 2018

Future Leaders

The Future Leaders session gives junior scientists the opportunity to showcase their work. We have three short-talk slots (ten minutes to present followed by five minutes of audience questions) for post-docs and three slots for lightning poster presentations from PhD students (two minutes, two slides, and no audience questions).

If you would like to submit an abstract for this session, please fill out the attached template and save it using the format Firstname_Lastname_talk or Firstname_lastname_lightening
Email your abstract to us at brainconference@cancer.org.uk

Successful applicants will be notified by 7 February 2018. If you are not successful in securing a speaker slot, you will still be able to present your work as a poster. Please note that you must be registered for the conference to submit an abstract.

Deadline: Wednesday 31 January 2018

Research opportunities in brain tumours

[Brain icon]

Brain tumour survival remains low, and has changed little in over a generation. That's why we've made brain tumours a strategic priority as one of our four "cancers of unmet need".

We're boosting our investment into brain tumours, and we have a number of opportunities to help you develop your brain tumour research or to apply your skills to these cancers for the first time.
