International Tobacco Advisory Group

Our Research

The Cancer Research UK International Tobacco Advisory Group (ITAG) is a funding committee, which considers project grants and advocacy proposals. The grants fund policy-relevant research and advocacy activities focusing on priority areas in International Tobacco Control and implementation of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs).

Who do we support?

Through ITAG, we support research, organisations and partnerships, and encourage proposals with Lead Applicants or Co-Investigators in LMICs.

How proposals are judged

The Committee meets twice a year to assess applications. ITAG will judge your proposal on strategic importance, scientific excellence, cancer relevance and potential for developing the capacity of nationals.
