Treating lymphoedema

In this section you can read about treatment for lymphoedema. The aim of treatment is to manage lymphoedema rather than cure it. There is information about the different types of treatment and when you are likely to have them. Treatments include manual lymphatic drainage (specialised massage), bandaging, compression garments and exercise. You usually have a combination of these. There is also information about research into lymphoedema.
