Tests to stage

The stage of a cancer means how big it is and whether it’s spread. Knowing the stage helps your doctor decide which treatment you need. You might have some of the following tests.

CT scan

A CT scan uses x-rays to take detailed pictures of your body from different angles.

MRI scan

An MRI scan produces pictures from angles all around the body and shows up soft tissues very clearly.
