  • Hello Bev45,

I noticed you hadn't yet had a response so I thought I would come and say hello and also let you know that there is lady who posted today who also has ovarian cancer and who also expressed feeling a bit isolated. So I think you two may have things to say to each other. You can read and respond to Angeeta's thread here .

We are pleased to hear your breast cancer was found early and that you didn't need to have any radiotherapy. Talking to your closest friends or relatives can be difficult as you don't want them to be too worried for you. The great thing about this forum is that you don't have to worry about how people will feel or react to your news, because you will be supporting one another and going through similar experiences.

Best wishes and a big welcome to our site!

  • Hi Bev, sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with cancer. You have come to the right place though as people on here either have cancer, or are caring for a loved one with it. I don't have your same type of cancer, I have others, but cancer is cancer for sure. Are you having chemo for the ovarian cancer? I know there are other posters on here with breast and ovarian cancers, so my response to you will bump you up to the first page again where hopefully, someone who can relate to your type of cancer will respond. Its' always helpful to communicate with others with the same cancer has you, but I guess cancer is cancer in any case.

Good luck with your upcoming scan results and I wish you well in the future. Come back on here and let us know how things go for you. I know what you mean about friends and family being worried, but they mean well I guess. People who have never had a cancer diagnosis really have no idea how it feels. I guess that's why this forum is a God send.

    Take care.
