Hodgkin's lymphoma in remission - still struggling

Hi there, I'm 14 months in remission from abvd hodgekins lymphoma treatment..... I have a great network of supportive family & friends yet I feel very much on my own ! Am getting constant anxiety and worry about my health every day! I'm sure I'm not alone feeling like this and have joined this site to give my own story, advice & support...... And hopefully get some piece of mind for myself From other people's story's, advice & support

  • Hello Faith35,

You have certanly come to the right place to get advice and support. It is normal after having had Hodgkin's Lymphoma to feel anxious about your health and hopefully with time you will feel better. Don't hesitate to mention your health anxiety to your doctor as there are techniques like CBT that can help you deal with it.

You are right, I am sure many on our forum who are also currently in remission feel the same way. It would be very interesting to hear their story so hopefully they will see your post and respond soon so you can support one another and alleviate these fears all together.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, I am also in almost 5 years of being in remission. I am trying to move on without thinking about what I had gone through and I keep myself very busy. But then when I think about meeting someone I feel really worried about of my fertility..has it been affected? and how I would bring this up to the person I meet.
  • Hi Mbi32 and welcome to the forum.

It's great to hear you have been in remission for 5 years but can understand the difficulties many people may face after completing their cancer journeys.

I wanted to stop by to let you know of some more recent discussions we have on the forum by other members who have had hodgkins lymphoma just in case you wanted to chat to them about what you have mentioned above. Just click here and here to find out more. Our members are very welcoming and supportive so don't be afraid of joining in :)

    All the best,
