Hi there Steph, welcome and looking forward to hearing from you from time to time here on the forum. You do realize you have a hard act to follow here as the moderators are really great in keeping all of us on the right track. Seriously though, I hope you will find your work here to be a rewarding experience as you get to know everyone. As you know, all of us on here are facing challenges related to cancer and we so appreciate the support of the moderators as we move along on this journey.
Thanks for coming aboard.
Lorraine
Hi Ness,
You're the first person to reply to my post. What an honour! ;)
I've had many years of moderation experience and when I heard a position became available I jumped at the chance to join and be part of the team. You can find out more about me on the meet the team page here: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancer-chat/welcome-to-the-forum/meet-the-team
I joined this month so I'm still a Newbie. It's been nice to virtually meet you too Ness.
Best Wishes,
Steph
Hi Brian,
Thank you for the lovely welcome, I feel like you've helped me settle in already.
I look forward to chatting to you over the next few weeks too and I am so excited to be a part of this great moderation team!
Speak again soon,
Steph
Hi Lorraine,
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I'll do my best to follow in the footsteps of the other mods in keeping you all on the right track ;)
Just being able to e-meet you is reward enough and I will support you and the other members of the community as much as I can with the challenges ahead.
Kind Regards,
Steph
Hi Steph,
Welcome to the forum - let's hope you don't need to do too much moderating as such ... one of the nice things about this forum is that it is pretty much self-regulating. One of the better fora that I've been involved with tbh! My first one was a bulletin board at Lancaster Uni way back in 1992 - we had roughly 200 Computing Undergrads and about 4,000 other users to moderate! That was fun!!
All the best
Dave
Hello Steph, and welcome. Hope you enjoy your new job and look forward to hearing from you now and then as you try to keep us all in order!
Hazel xx
