I feel for you I'm recently diagnosed with lung cancer. And treatment has not been decided yet. I'm finding it hard to look forward as I'm in limbo. And feel as though I have been given a death sentence. I hope this is the place for friends but I posted last week and have yet to receive a response. Good luck xxx

Hi there Jean and Valerie. ... I'd like to welcome you both to this little chat room ...Jean, I've had mastectomy 6 months ago, and because of health probs having no treatment ... so I'm just muddling along and making most of every day ... so your not on your own here ... cancer can make things look really bleak and lonely ... have you tried McMillan and told them how you feel... they usually know of support groops etc ... they really helped me ... so fingers crossed for you ... don't give up hunny ..

Valerie.... so sorry you didn't get a reply, sometimes threads do fall through the cracks here, as posts move by so quickly ... and there's quite a few of us on here, that really try to include everyone ... there are some brill people on here so don't give up ... and we all have different cancer journeys too ... so there's quite a varying spread of us ... if you read other threads on here you'll see how they try to hold each other's hands and walk this journey with as many as we can ...

I'm glad you've joined the forum as our community is full of supportive and helpful members who will really understand what you are going through, especially those who have posted in our dying with cancer section of the forum.

I noticed you said you haven't been able to find a support group yet so I just wanted to give you share a website with which has a list of all the major cancer charities and support groups in the UK. If you click here and here you can use tools to enter your postcode to find support groups near to you as well.

I hope this helps and you're able to find the support you are seeking soon.

Please read them ... hold on hunny ... you can get there ... your not going to hell .. you have had a lot of hurt in your life .. don't waste these last months ... miricals do happen ... you just have to give them a nudge ...
