I have been called back for further investigations. I had my mammogram on 20th November and I have been ask to some back on Thursday 9th December. I can't say that I'm not worried but after reading some of the comments I'm feeling optimistic.

I am sorry to hear that you have been called back for further investigations after having a mammogram and I hope that everything goes well for you tomorrow. It's normal to be worried as you are waiting to find out more but you are right to keep calm about it. It's worth remembering that, as mentioned in our breast screening page, "many of the women who are called back won't have cancer" but it is important to have all these investigations to find out exactly what was flagged after your mammogram.
All you can do really for now is take one day at a time and keep busy and distracted if you can. Stay well away from the temptation of googling anything as this will only bring additional worry and won't give you any answers. There are helpful tips on this page on how to cope while waiting for news.
I hope that you will meet others on the forum who have also been called back for further investigation after a mammogram and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.
