Hi All,
Just joining the site and saying a quick hello. Having read lots on this forum, I'm amazed by how much of a difference it makes to read how many of us are going through this same experience. It makes me feel like I'm not alone, and I only wish I'd joined a couple of years ago.
I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer coming up 3 years ago, and what a journey it's been. Chemo, followed by a hystorectomy and full debulking, (Sepsis thrown in), and then 3 more cycles of chemo in various types and amounts! I've had 5 litres of fluid drawn off a couple of months ago, and my CA125 is reducing well too. My last CT scan showed that the cancer was stable and the part on my liver had gone, so why am I still in so much pain????
I'm told it's gas, (wind)!! I've been given every tablet possible for this, also tablets to deal with the pain, but just can't understand why, when all is going so well, that I should be in such discomfort. My Oncologist has suggested that anxiety and fear may be contributing. Anyone else been through similar by any chance? Just would love to hear how you dealt with it, and any help you can give please.
Many thanks.
