Hi to all - I’m Steve from Bradford and my history with cancer is lengthy so here goes Bowel Cancer 2011 removal of 80% colon with op and then six months chemo by tablet. 2014 Skin Cancer in ear skin graft done and all ok. 2016 diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer which had metasised to vertebrae and pelvic area so had six months doxataxel chemo and Zoladex injections starting June 2016 and was then diagnosed with breast cancer and had mastectomy December 2016 then diagnosed with stomach cancer and had gastrectomy in January 2017. A quieter 2017 after stomach op but then scans found a mass on my right rib and after biopsy I was told my stomach cancer had spread and need to start chemo EXO in two weeks and carry on with my three monthly Zoladex injections as normal and do three cycles of chemo and then scan to see if tumour on my rib has shrunk and decision then whether to do another three cycles or in effect give up. I feel well and up for another fight but have been given only 12-18 months life expectancy and am terrified. I am just turned 60 and have a fantastic wife and family but can’t speak to anyone else as just start crying as soon as I explain my position.
Has anyone had EXO chemo and stomach cancer or just need a chat because I think I am coming to the end of putting out fires all over my body but my positive outlook over the years has helped me enormously. I went down the genetic trip and they said I had inherited Lynch Syndrome (faulty gene which causes multiple cancers) and am on a aspirin trial at moment but feel pretty helpless at moment.
Be glad to hear from anyone
Steve
