Diagnosed with stage 4 Non Hodgkin Lymphoma in the esophagus and right lung. Undergoing 6 cycles of chemotherapy at the moment and first two left me really ill with low blood pressure and unable to stand, never mind function! Third cycle had left me almost on a high and unable to relax as if making up for the time missed by being ill after first two with firstly pneumonia then on second urine and chest infection! What fun! Then to find out I had missed my bone marrow injections as was an in patient originally then and out patient meaning it was not picked up and four others like myself highlighted. Apology received from hospital, which was good of them and an assurance that systems would be put in place to stop this happening to other patients as four other found as well! Such is the busy state and over worked nature of the NHS staff. It is about time they got some help rather than blame.
