I'm 70 and have been in good health and fit up till now. Just before Christmas I discovered a lump low down on the left side, below my belly button and over to the left. I went to the GP straight after New Year and he has refered me for blood tests including the Ovarian cancer one and for an urgent ultrasound...... all of which I am having tomorrow. Frankly I'm frightened. I looked up the symptoms but that didn't help me much as I had a hysterectomy 27 years ago. I get very very tired, and have a low niggling discomfort in my back but no constipation of diarrhoea, no pain and very little weight loss. Just this very definite hard lump. I have been on a low dose oestrogen HRT for around 25 years but have temporarily stopped taking it (to be on the safe side). I realise this is a long time to be on it but have had several unsuccessful attempts to come off it and have remained on it with the support of my GP. Anyway, sorry to ramble but I really am quite scared and tearful
