I was diagnosed with Pneumonia last year in June when I was taken by ambulance to our local hospital and when they did an Xray they found an Adenocarcinoma on my right lung. I had been ill for 3 years previously and the tumour had shown up on an Xray a year and a half before the pneumonia but the hospital forgot to let anybody know so I was walking around with cancer with no treatment for at least a year and a half. I had a Vats Lobectomy with removal of the top right lobe in September 2018 and had a C.T. Scan 3 weeks ago and have just had a letter telling me that my Consultant has seen ' something ' at the bottom of my right lung.
I am just 66 but in my head I am stuck at about 28! I love painting and tutored my Art Group for 25 years where we had an annual Exhibition and raised thousands for different local charities including our Hospice and Macmillan Nurses. I had to stop all of that when I became ill and I miss painting so badly.
