I have been diagnosed with cancer of the lower esophagus which has spread to the lung and have been told that an operation is not an option and have just started chemotherapy but I find very little support. I have have had to chase the hospital for my results which took weeks to get the results and then told by a Macmillan nurse that it was bad news and there was nothing that could be done. I then got my GP to chase this with the results leading to the treatment that I am receiving. Added to this my lady partner who has been with me all the way up to the Chemotherapy stage has now left me, I am alone, frightened and do not know where I can find support. I am told that I need to keep positive but this appears to be almost impossible with the two major problems in my life.
