Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about your experience and concerns. It is of course natural to be a little worried if something doesn't feel right, particularly if you've had it for a few weeks now.

Hopefully you're able to get an ENT appointment soon. You can always call the hospital if you find you've been waiting a long time, just to double check.

Speaking with a specialist should help to give you some guidance one way or the other, and help to alleviate your worries. The uncertainty can be difficult, but try not to worry too much until you have some answers. I know this is sometimes easier said than done.

hi the ultrasound was clear 

had an mri but die to sever anxiety couldn’t stay at the time In  the tube so yesterday had a ct scan with dye managed to stay in there but didn’t like the feeling of the stuff going on as it was a slow release so felt hot for ages and heart racing but proud I did it 

bur now waiting I’m in a worse state with worry 

waking every two hours panicking like 

im dying no sleep is really getting to me

ezhausted 

the feeling is still there like a sore down my throat and now and again swollowin is difficult 

really a worried sick 

Hi Annie, I know its been years since you posted about your throat issues but since I seem to be having exact same symptoms as you going on four months now I thought I would reach out to see how you are doing now and if anything was ever found out about your situation or insight you have. Like you I have had many tests a couple months back. Bloodwork, neck ultrasound, ct scan of neck with dye, neck x ray, and laryngoscopy through nose down throat. Nothing found. I was put on Omeprazole 20 mg about a month ago. Nothing has changed. I have chronic throat pain very low down like right above my collar bone area. Feels like sore or cut in there sometimes, sometimes feels like a hair ball I can't cough up or swallow down or like a sharp pill is stuck. Also it's mostly on the left side only and also down left side of tongue I have a burning pain. Like tongue on that side is on fire and also have a minty or menthol sensation when I breathe in in my throat. Very wierd. All of these pains come and go... mostly comes though and with me all day and night. It's distressing and depressing. I haven't had any issues like this before in my life! I have another ENT appt booked for June 2nd because I simply don't know what to do about it all and am afraid it must be something sinister being missed. My anxiety is through the roof at times and I have a hard time coping until June but can't get in anywhere else, I have called every ENT office in my area.  Thanks for your reply

Hi there sorry to hear you have been suffering with your throat or isn't nice at all.o see you have had lots of tests done have they said anything is abnormal at all About them or al clear if so tjem that def is a bonus and should think positive ha e you told them about your tongue too so they examine that as well   ? Mine stopped being like it after a while every now and again I get the feeling on the side of my face under my chin on the right ? Do you grind your teeth or clamp your jaw see a dentist and ask them as maybe that doesn't help and anxiety makes it worse ,I do this all the time now .I hope you get on ok with the next lot of tests and message any time please let me know how you get on x

Oh another thought up the dosage of the Omeprazole tablet I am on lanzaprozole but 30mg give it a go they are both similar tablets might work if the tablet isn't keeping the acid down of you can taste a funny taste maybe from that maybe ??
