  • Hi DP9,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear that you're finding things difficult at the moment. It's good to hear you've discussed this with your doctor already. I can only suggest that, if things continue to feel bad, to try to discuss again and explain your concerns - and ask if they have any suggestions.

We have a page on our website here about Paclitaxel, including listed side effects and guidance on when to contact your medical team.

If you feel you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses about this, you are welcome to give them a call on freephone 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5).

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben

  • Hey I had the same treatment before my

mastectomy 4 EC and then 12 taxol. I found myself very teary with the taxol and down. I couldn't be bothered doing anything. Push yourself to go for a walk even if it's just round the block to start with see if that helps. It's a tough time going through chemo but just hang in there it'll be over soon xxx

  • Hi you are strong and you can get through this, with chemo you loose your appetite and you also feel tired with it,your body is going through a lot with chemo, you need to listen to your body if you feel tired rest with your feet up and watch tv,I've had a year with chemo and still going through it,I'm always laying on the sofa I feel exhausted,so stay strong and you will get through it all.
