Worried! Advice please

Hi! 

I have just had an MRI on my lumbar spine ordered by my rheumatologist due to numbness in legs. I have just received an urgent appointment for an ultrasound on pelvis and abdomen. They didn't give an explanation as to why I need this so I called. She said the MRI saw something on my ovaries and on the advice of the radiologist, she has arranged an ultrasound to look closer. 

 

Does anyone know what this could be? I was unaware a lumbar spine MRI could pick up anything on ovaries as different area?!

    I'm sorry to hear that your recent MRI scan raised some unexpected questions and that you're now waiting for further scans. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious about what this may mean. 

    Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the ultrasound appointment and the specialist will be able to give you some answers and reassurance on the day.
