How did you get on if you don't mind me asking. Maybe to some people the average £70 for a 15min either face to face or sometimes over the Web. Did you first start of by having to have a consultation regardless if medication was issued or not? Meaning did you have to pay for your 1st contact with the private doctor. Sorry if your offended by this I'm trying to see about going private but also hope the doctor was able to help your issues. Thanks

This could totally be anxiety as it is all very much the same. I would just pop to the Dr. It's a quick look and will also reassure you which will help your anxiety x

I am having a phone call with the doc on Fri, hoping she'll see me in person. I do suffer from anxiety badly, drives me nuts. I have read about a bad virus going around after COVID restrictions eased up, is that a thing?

Spoke to the doctor. She prescribed me some reflux medication and to have a blood test. Anybody know what the blood test is for/checking? Would have preferred if she had actually seen me in person but I guess doctors don't do that anymore :/

I've been prescribed omeprazole by the doctor for reflux. It says on the box take 1 twice a day but that's it. Does anyone know how to take these? On an empty stomach? Is there any time restrictions with food? Also, should I wait till after I get my blood test results? Bit concerned about taking reflux medication if I don't have reflux.

I've also been told to get a blood test, anyone know what that checks? (Throat issues).

Had my blood test results the other day (FBC & yellow top for liver, ferritin etc..) and they are 'normal' which was good to hear.

The thing is I'm still having the odd problem such as the scratchy sensation at the back of the throat. I tend to get this sensation where my throat gets a very uncomfortable strained/weak feeling as if I've been yelling at the top of my lungs. My voice feels strained also (although it sounds mostly normal). This is all sometimes accompanied by an asthma-like tightness sensation behind the Adam's apple area. 

Could this all be anxiety? Maybe reflux? (I have the medication for that). Anyone know what they would have checked in the blood test? I assume they would be checking for signs of cancers, presumably.
